Isn't Jefferson older than a freshman should be?

How old "should" a freshman be? St. John's freshman Marcus LoVett is 21 years old. Our Markus Howard just turned 18.

(But, yes... Trae is older [21])
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

I always liked Jefferson. Couldn't have ever seen him landing here, though. Too small for Buzz, and doubt he was ever on Wojo's radar.

It would depend on why he's a 21 year old freshman. If its a Mayo situation, I don't think he would have been on Wojo's radar.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

SI's update has us as a 9 seed.

So after yesterday's "disaster". ESPN didn't move us at all. SI didn't move us at all. Palm moved us down one spot.

And just to illustrate how hard it is to move up the bubble. Kansas State's win over Baylor moved them up ONE spot in his bracket, from first team out to last team in. Even with a win today they won't be head of us, although they will also probably be safely in the field.

I think that would be a very bad matchup.  Watching their defense in the half court set is amazing.  Personally think you need to be longer and more athletic than we are to beat it.

At this point any win is a great win.  It's tourney time.

I think it'd be really intriguing. As good as they are on defense, I don't think their offense would punish us too much. They don't get inside enough to get us into foul trouble, and wouldn't likely kill us on the offensive glass (like we saw yesterday). They also like to play very slow, literally dead last in the country. With how much better our passing and patience has become this year, I think we'd be okay.

My guess is that a game with Virginia would be a 1-2 possession game with a score in the 60s. If it's a "first to 70 wins" game, I think we would have a shot. Not saying we would win, but they're not unbeatable. Bennett also doesn't generally fare well against Duke (0-3 the past 3 years), maybe Wojo could get a few tips from Coach K about game prep.

Please let this happen. First team to 125 wins.
