Your tone deaf.  I stated his contributions were better today .  Howver when ur the big u simply cannot do what he did on his second foul. Him being on the bench n jjj on the court were huge part of the reeason we were down 12. His 5 fouls were all really poor decisions.

Said it before and say it again, when Luke is on the floor without foul trouble, MU is capable of beating anyone in the BE.  That was on point when MU beat Creighton and Nova.  Yes, he extends his defense sometimes to 25 feet, but thats the MU defense scheme.  Heldt does the same when he is in for Luke.  If he was not in trouble today, I am certain MU would have won this game as they showed in second half with him on the floor.

As for next year, don't hold your breath too long believing MU is going to be better.  MU loses Luke, JJJ, and Reinhardt and with Matt Heldt as your early probable center, well.......  Yes, they have John, Froling, etc, but next year the excuse will be MU is too young.  Enjoy the rest of the year and hope Luke stays on the floor.

Next year will be interesting. JJJ is very replaceable at this point. Katin was replaceable but has developed into a potent offensive weapon on the wing. Still think we can make up for it with all the guards and wings we have.

Replacing Fischer is the big question. Heldt as the starter is a scary prospect, however we have seen plenty of three star big men struggle their first few years only to blossom as upperclassmen. Froling has size, shooting, and skill but definitely needs to work on his body. John and Eke will be freshmen. If one of those 4 outperforms expectations, I think we will be better.

I think a grad transfer could do wonders for next years team. Either a defensive stopper switchable or a garbage man type forward.

Jj is not only replaceable ... He plain hurts us.  With cheatum not in foul trouble, rowsey, kaitin etc i feel he should get about as many minutes as he got in the  second half , or less.  Hes a terrible 3 point shoot but keeps chucking.  And plays bad defense n turns the ball over.  He hurts the team.  Its beyond question at this point.  He trys to hunt points thinking thats why hes out there and believes defense is only what u do when not hunting points
Hes a senior n this is a terrible mentality to have at this point but its clearly not changing.  Punt

JJJ has made almost 33% of his 3s and has taken the fifth most on the team this year, less than everyone except Duane and Haanif. So how about you shut the hell up for a change, and maybe actually do a bit of research before you spout off your made up poorly written nonsense. Honestly, its worse than Sean Spicer.

I do agree that his defense hurts us, but he is a net positive. In fact, statistically he's our best player. He knows how to fill a stat sheet. There was a point in the first half where he either assisted or scored on 6 straight scoring possessions for us in this game. He also only shot 1 three pointer and had 1 turnover this game. I've actually noticed that his shot selection has gotten a lot better in conference play. There have been numerous times when he's caught the ball in the corner and I thought "here come's a bad three" but he's taken it to the hole instead.

He's a frustrating player. But he's not as bad as you make him out to be. He has real low lows but also high highs.
