I dont know what people expected, this was a trap game and the team played right into it.

Probably back to a 9-9, this one hurt, have to beat these guys on home court.  Not as bad as Butler and SH, but thats three games lost, the old coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Maybe steal one away game down the road, but do not overlook St. Johns.

C'mon mods, this is far worse the MUFINY's Wojo nonsense.

He's right regarding JJJ's defense however.  It was terrible.  Hands down.  Jumping for no reason.  Just elementary level stuff.

Trap....right...because the team was overlooking Providence for mighty St. Johns?

Are u kidding? Watch jj play defense there is a reason he is barely playing anymore.  The providence run in the first half was when cheatum had foul trouble had foul issues and jjj played no defense with no worry that he would be sat.  Your opinion is better than mine?  U cant see the bad defense, thats on u

There didn't seem to be any coaching other than to tell KR to take the ball and shoot.

He told our best free throw shooter to drive the hole in a game where refs were calling it pretty tight on drives. The shot that was blocked could have easily had a foul called on it. The second one, credit great defense by Providence.

He would post the exact same misspelled bull$hit whether JJ was having a good game or a bad game, doubly so for Fischer.  It is beyond Ners level crazy

Your comments on JJJ make sense. Trashing luke in a game where he had a double double, shot 5/7 from the floor, got Holt and Bullock in early foul trouble,  and played very good interior defense shows obsession

That was unreadable.

JJJ could have had 10 steals and 10 blocks and you would have criticized him for being too selfish and not playing team defense. Thats the point. After Luke had an incredible game against Creighton, you said he shouldnt have gotten SOTG because his previous poor performances were making us bias. Just stupid.

I would of liked a pick n pop with kation or hauser but put yourself down 1 and bad things happen.  Late turnovers hurt us. I believe we turned it over 3 out of 4 trips.  Hard to expect any consitancy when 2 of your 3 seniors are the most inconsistant players on the team.  Its time to no longer start jjj, sends wrong message to the team.

Sand knit, your anti Luke agenda is embarrassing.  Second best MU player today, only one competing underneath.  Your alternative facts regarding his play reveals far more about you than it does about Luke.  #characterrevealed

I respect that you had an opinion.  Go back and watch his fouls.  They were all very poor decision given the game n roster situations.  Luke wasnt as bad today as he has been but his fouling to a great degree overshadowed what he did well.  His second foul?  Unreal sat the whole rest of the half because of it.
His second half fouls about as bad.  Some really bad decisions take him out n outweigh the good imo

That's simply not a true statement. He repeatedly altered shots throughout the game.

Even if it were true, Luke was the 2nd best Warrior on the floor today. Why do you feel the need to trash his performance when there were about 15 other more relevant factors to why we lost?

Addition by subtraction.
My sincere hope is we can overcome the two headed monster n still sneak into the tourney

We weren't watching the same game.  I was watching the one where Luke was the only interior presence with a double double.  You were watching the on though your agenda lenses.

Note the double-double.    20-26 from the field the last 3 games.   Defensively, one man against an on-rushing tide of attacking Friars.

He did keep his hands down against one of their bigs and he hit a little face up jumper.  Wojo said something about "hands up" soon afterwards.  But by and large Luke had a good game on both ends.  Sand Knit is simply obsessed about something.

There is no such thing as addition by subtraction unless a player is a cancer off the court. If there is a better player than they would be playing.

Luke has been playing like a grown man for the last three games. We don't beat Creighton or Nova without him. It's not close today without him. Your criticisms were warranted at the beginning of BE play. Its okay to say "he sucked earlier but he's been playing well lately." Failure to acknowledge a player's improvement simply hurts your own cause.

Your tone deaf.  I stated his contributions were better today .  Howver when ur the big u simply cannot do what he did on his second foul. Him being on the bench n jjj on the court were huge part of the reeason we were down 12. His 5 fouls were all really poor decisions.

And you have tunnel vision. Luke was about the 15th most significant reason why we lost today. But you listed him in your top 2.

Im sorry, but how does one put someone on IGNORE on here?   It used to be quite easy, but I cant figure it out now..

We are a team that relies on high FG% and 3pt%. We've rarely been that type of team in the past. I always hated playing these type of teams because they can come out of nowhere- create a lot of damage in tourneys/ conference play but only 1 or 2 games worth. We are what we are. We will beat teams we shouldn't (Villanova) and lose the same (Providence). At least we have a chance this year vs previous couple of years. Finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with hope in the next few years...even with a loss like this. Wojo trying to build a complete team in the next stage of development... not just shooters.
Went to the Bulls game last night. At one time I thought Hoiberg and Wojo were the same person. Obviously I was wrong. Hoiberg clueless..desperate..lost team. MU teams seems to respect Wojo. Hopefully I was wrong about him all along.
I agree... someone said this entire season will be a gauntlet.
