When NW has a halfway decent team, they can get this joint rocking pretty good. I remember they upset a top-10 Purdue team there a few years back (2010 maybe?) and it was jumpin'.

I know it will never happen, but an arena maybe a little bigger than that on our campus would be cool. Could still play a few of the biggies at BC.

The artist rendering looks exactly the way it does now...except for Northwestern fans are actually at the game.

Better seats and A/V equipment, and that place is a great gym. Before they had a Jumbotron, it really was a glorified HS gym.

This. All I care about in this renovation is that they change the seats. It's a decent gym but bleacher style seating is the worst. Maybe improve concessions a bit as well. The best thing they did though was switching that ugly as Fook floor they had a few years ago.

The only reason for remodeling this relic is if they don't have any land options for a new arena.  $110 million is a lot to spend on a 60 plus year old facility.  Seems too high for what they describe.  The Joyce Center renovation was great and only a 1/4 of this price.

Adding a second deck behind both baskets.  All individual seats instead of 80% bench where the person in front of you has their head between your legs.  Concessions and bathrooms on the north side where there were none.  A good portion of W-R was the north half which was the original football indoor facility, so plenty of room to grow.

Agree, the scoreboard production was PowerPoint quality.

When you have rich alumni good things can happen.

Too bad our rich alumni waste their money on stupid stuff like academic buildings.
Have some patience, FFS.

You got a point there...those jezzies were already living in the lap of luxury...Here is some pictures of the interior .  Looks like it is scheduled to come down any day now.

Hopefully we can find more of them. It makes life easier.
