That is quite the deal they have negotiated there.

As opposed to the decade of free rent being offered by the United Center.  And while I realize that ten years of free rent isn't a forever deal, is spending $70M really worth having preferential scheduling somewhere?  Why would you spend $70M and not really own it?

I suspect that was the only way they were getting a new home.
