“Milwaukee was always one of my favorite places to go when I traveled with the Knicks,” Johnson said. “They have a drink there that’s pretty good. It’s called beer.”

Gotta hand it to these owners. They are doing all that they can to show this is a new day. I like Paschke and Mac but new blood is definitely needed.

Gus was great doing Knicks games.  Thats where "I Get Buckets" came from.  Can't wait for some of his gems this year.

Gus Johnson is horrible. The guy has a new gig every two years. Not a coincidence. I think he's a slight more functional version of Freeway.

He doesn't have a "new gig."  He will still be working for Fox sports on college basketball and other stuff.  Prior to that he worked at CBS doing football and college basketball, and did Knick games.  This is pretty common stuff for a major national announcer.

He did suck at soccer though.

That being said, the new owners likely had to pay some significant $$$ to get him to Milwaukee.

It wouldn't be a scoop answer by saying he "sucks" without giving a reason.  : ::)

In the case of Tanned Tommy no reason is needed...

He has been doing hoops on BTN since BTN has started. It's just a small amount of games.
