Seton Hall was awful today.  It was a fluke win. In my opinion it had nothing to do with Carlinos absence.

Going into today, Carlino has 320 points for Marquette.  Derrick Wilson has 350 in his 4 year career.  Carlino has made 70 FTs this year and Derrick Wilson has made 74 for his career.

We need Carlino in.

This.  Seton Hall was awful.

You are off your cracker dude.  You seriously are.   You went there, not me.  I haven't spurned the kid at all.  He's a good player, but he is what he is.  A bit of a chucker and can be a black hole at times.  He's got a quality shot, but unfortunately can lull the rest of the team into a slumber IMO.

You seem obsessed by this cat Tanned Thomas...it is strange.

I like Carlino, think he is an absolutely wonderful skilled shooter and tough as nails player.  BUT, I think we stand around too much and watch him play, it slows our movement, and grinds down our offense.  IMO

MUPT: Offense looked more fluid.  Maybe Carlino should be moved off of PG, especially when Derrick is in.

Are you guys for real? We scored 57 points. There was no offensive outburst w/out Carlino.

We won because Seton Hall could not make a shot. If they shot a terrible 35% today - they would have beaten us. They had to get hot in the last 4 minutes to get up to 30%.

So Chicos tells us our offense ran smoother to get 57 points. We only got to 57 because of STJ. The rest of our "smooth" offense shot under 40%.

Carlino should be shooting more. He is far and away the best shooter on the team.

Uhm, absolutely wrong...but good try.  Did you read something on the internet so it must be true?  LOL

LOL.  Yeah, I read that, too.  Humorous.   TommyJohnSurgery is my Rivals nickname and has been for probably 10 years.  I've never called myself Jim or had anyone else call me Jim in my life....but hey, it's on the internet.

I think Ners might be in the hospital after Wilson picked up his dribble before half court near the end of the game.  Woof.  That was bad.

OMG- yes!!!  For a senior PG, and supposed rare turnover guy, that was pathetic.  It was a great team effort, but he played poorly overall I thought.

This.  Seton Hall was awful.

Yeah, definitely true.  They obviously remembered well dominating us in Milwaukee and thought just showing up was going to be enough today.  Some stuff they did you don't see many grade school teams do - like Gibbs throwing it away at halfcourt with a teammate two feet away, and JJJ standing right there ready to jump the passing lane.

Can't take away the fight MU showed though without Carlino.  I certainly gave them no chance when they tipped off today after hearing Carlino was out.

Sometimes one team makes the other look awful, aina? I givin' MU credit on this one.

Creighton shooting 62.8% eFG% today, but I'm sure it would have been 70%+ with Carlino.

With Carlino's defense....you might be right.

All that being said, could have sworn the game I watched we were down only two possessions with under 30 seconds to go on the road.  I would have thought we would lose by 96 points.  Steve Taylor became the univisible man again, after being the invisible man last game.  We shot 45% from 3 point land...HIGHER than our season average.  Duane Wilson had a terrific scoring game.  Of course, just like last game, we got annihilated on the boards.

Carlino, again, is a very good player...as stated previously.  I like seeing the other guys have to be the guys, rather than deferring to him late in shot clocks and late in the games.  MC is gone after this year, many of our other guys are not.  They are growing from this.  For those of you who voted the season was a lost cause, I would think you would understand this.  Personally, I don't think it is a lost cause because these kids can learn and pick up valuable experience in these types of situations.

I hope MC is back healthy soon, but what the kids are learning in his absence is to do these things on their own, which will pay dividends in the future.

Wow,  two possessions down under 30 seconds on the road in the battle for last place.  Last frigging place. Now I feel much better.

DePaul? St. Louis?

Sports are cyclical. Except for a half-dozen, maybe a dozen, college basketball programs, there are good times and bad times. For the good ones, the good times far outweigh the bad times; I'm hoping for that for MU, and I don't think it's misplaced, delusional hope.

North Carolina sucked for awhile. Indiana? Serious suckage. UCLA? Had some suckiness. Even Kentucky, before Cal arrived, had the natives restless. Etc, etc, etc.

Assuming the three remaining recruits actually do come to school and feeling confident Wojo will continue bringing in quality players -- because we have no reason yet to assume otherwise -- I don't think we'll be down long.

Are there any guarantees? No there are not. That's sports.

DePaul hasn't been any good for decades. St. Louis? When was their last S16-S16-E8 run or their run of 8 straight NCAA appearances?

Get a grip, folks.
