I'll be taking my kids to the Dells this summer and looking do get out of the water park.  Has anyone been to the Dells Raceway?  Kids are ages 5 to 10.  Is it worth a try?  Love to get anyone's thoughts on the place.

I grew up near the Dells... went to the races several times before I turned 10 and recall having a good time.  (It was called Dells Motor Speedway back then, and kids were free admission, so it was cheap entertainment for my dad and uncle back in the day when they had 8 kids to entertain between them.)  Races were every Saturday night, and despite the fact that the Speedway is a good 4-5 miles away, occasionally you could hear the cars racing all the way from downtown.

But this was many years ago; I believe ownership has changed several times since then, and I haven't been there in 30 years.  The cars are a lot quieter and downtown is a lot noisier.  Couldn't tell you a bit about what the experience might be like today... HOWEVER, I think kids under 10 are still free, so you'll probably spend more on concessions than admission, and if the races suck, then you duck out early, take the kids to Big Chief (now Mt. Olympus) or out to Knuckleheads, and you let them have their own go-kart races.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
