Paint touches is a great general philosophy...turned into a side phrase because of how much buzz said it.... but paint touches lead to higher percentage shots, fouls, and kick outs.   Wojo may not use the same phrase but I would hope he would stress dribble penetration.

From one single game I saw in person at the Bradley Center and a couple on TV either they couldn't score beyond the arc or just couldn't score. The team's biggest weakness was even when they had the outside shot working for them with Jake T and Mayo, they still didn't have an effective shooter in or near the paint.  Lots of defensive lapses as well, especially lacking hustle on help.  Buzz was sitting people down for that too, I thought appropriately since most of defense is hustle in the game applying the fundamentals learned in practice.  Fear is another new factor for the existing players.  The new guy didn't recruit any of them and will give his recruits every opportunity to play. That might just focus those guys to work out a little longer and harder this summer, especially on shooting and conditioning.

Still don't understand how Buzz became such an awful coach this year.  He was terrible.  Thank God he is gone.  MU has the talent to be very good.  Wino should be able to coach them up as individuals and as a team.  Buzz clearly made the players look bad.  He took away their confidence on offense to the point where they were afraid to shoot.  Shooting is not a sin.  Shooting is a good thing.  Also glad we don't have to listen to Buzz's nonsensical chatter.  Hopefully Wojo will speak the truth and be to the point.
