I loved it. Who cares if saying YES isn't Spartan-specific. It got the whole crowd rocking and they had fun with it. The louder the crowd, the better the home court advantage is. Do your thing, Sparty.

Chanting is fine. I just don't think we should mimic another school.

People like to criticize the non-student section for being less raucous. But when I think back to my time at the Arena we made more than enough noise and paid little attention to anything the alums were doing or not. One of the funniest moments, though, was some game where there were hundreds of priests sitting together forming a sea of black. When the student section began chanting "Bull Sheet" about some call against Marquette the assembled fathers joined in with gusto. A damned fine moment.
