I forgot a 10th player, Juan Anderson, as you can tell, almost the whole team could be leaving for one reason or another, Juan reason, maybe not good enough to get playing
time.  Lots of options for recruiting 2 over the limit.

Juan good reason to recruit over the limit is enough for me.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

sounds like Embiid will be one to watch at Kansas, saw this quote on another site

Quote
Mike DeCourcy saw KU practice and said some rather startling things about freshman center Joel Embiid: “He owns physical gifts that call to mind Hakeem Olajuwon and basketball skills reminiscent of Tim Duncan. Embiid has great feet, jumps well, handles the ball like a skilled forward and fires perimeter jumpers with comfort and ease.”

To be fair, I also fire perimeter jumpers with comfort and ease.

Fair point, but Embiid also makes those shots. I've heard talk he could contend with Wiggins for the #1 overall spot in next year's draft. Can't begin to say how upset I get remembering that recruiting process.

From project center to one and done in less than 12 months.  I can't remember such a huge rise for another player.  At least we won't be watching him (and Wiggins) for more than a year.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Is that "comfort and ease" for you or the defense? :D

Let's not get too carried away based on DeCourcy's comments just yet... we haven't seen Embiid play in actual NCAA competition yet, let alone NBA competition.  And even if he turns into a phenom at this level, let's not forget the lesson of Mr. Hasheem Thabeet.

Turns out I'm probably a moron. (see thread for context)  :-[

I'll take a piece of that action.

The kid is good, but the odds of a player leaving after 2 years is EXTREMELY slim.

It takes a big man to admit he was likely wrong. But I would like to say I hope the mustache stays.  Don't shave it Amo!

Still kills me to think what this already awesome 2013 class would be like with Embiid.... bad dreams man.... baaaaad dreams

Impressive job of Self developing JoJo so well.

PS - Anthony Davis, Myles Turner are some other recent tall guys that rose quickly

Doc, don't you go all mushy on me now - there's a time for Kierkegaard, but not during basketball season - and tonight it begins!

+1

Both of those two came to mind for me as well. Also, all three were guys MU was in on.

Because we'll be playing them in the Final Four.
