This is all I know so far from Yahoo:

"Fitzgerald, a junior forward, injured his left shin in a collision with just over 11 1/2 minutes left and didn't return. He came back to the sideline late in the game, walking with the help of crutches."

Coach said in his post-game interview that they were going to look at it tonight, but he thought that Fitz would be ok.

All I know, is that he was in a LOT of pain when he went down.  Hopefully, it'll just be a bad bruise...

From the latest AP article...

QuoteThe injury was not serious, Marquette coach Tom Crean said.

"He's OK," Crean said. "It's just his shin. He was ready to go back in."

We were at the game and he stayed on the bench and no trainers checked on him or anything so it must not be too serious.

On TC's pregame radio interview, he said that Fitz had the flu and was in the hospital getting IV fluids.  He looked like hell last night and still played a pretty good game.  Let's hope it doesn't spread to the rest of the team.

Seriously, anyone know if they give out flu shots to the team?  Every year, we get bitten by the bug, you'd think it'd be mandatory.

Speaking of which, my company is offering flu shots today.  If I don't cry, they'll give me a lolly.

ZiggysFryBoy

wasn't there a controversy a few years ago when there was a flu shot shortage about MU players being given flu shots?  (I also seem to remember something about Listerine.... ;))  Anywho, flu shots only help against respitory flu, not stomach flu.

story in the journal at the end says fitz should be ready to go and coach is counting on him.

rocky_warrior

Ahhh the flu.  That would explain why he looks so terrible (and holding his stomach) in the one picture I got of him.  See attached (yikes!)

ZiggysFryBoy

hey if Fitz can play with the flu like MJeff used too, more power to him!

mu_hilltopper

Jesus, it looks like he was going to toss his cookies right there!

It's not the FLU! Look at his eyes! It's something worse...

I bet the other players are jealous...Fitz will get to have ANOTHER brace/sleeve.

If there is one thing MU players love more than accessories it has to be IV's.

smrunner99

I heard IV's is the new hot item to have in hollywood these days.

thisists

yeah, all the oxygen bars have IV rooms now.
