That being said, they have Gardner as an Honorable All American preseason pick.

What I love about this is that I think DeDe has just the right mentality to not let this kind of pre-season accolade stuff go to his head.  I think he knows his current  limitations, but also understands how really close he is to being a great collee player.  Keep workin those jump shots and quick burst drives to the hoop we saw at times last year to make it easier to get touches.  Adding that to his obvious supreme low block skills, and he can achieve AA status. 

It will be interesting to see if te team takes on more of his court personality next year now being a leader.  Jamil may be our most talented returning player, but I think he thrives more not being the focal point.
