We have a call center in Moore, Oklahoma.  Everyone survived, no injuries there though plenty of damage outside.  However, one of our agents has a child missing and about 20 lost their homes.

Tragic.

Keep folks in your prayers if you don't mind.

Kevin Durant just donated 1 million to Red Cross and the Thunder matched it.  That is a class act there.

Did I not read this correctly?

No.

"Earlier in the day, Durant pledged $1 million to the Red Cross from his Durant Family Foundation intended to match other donations and be an incentive for more people to give."

"Pledged" isn't "donated."

You may have read it correctly, but the more relevant question is, "was what I read correct?"

(PS - I just read this particular link and no, I don't think you read it correctly.. but lots of people are misreporting on this).

Whatever, still a great gesture on his part.

I imagine Durant might also donate some money. No indication of that happening yet, though.

The man is giving, whether it is promised, pledged or donated, $1,000,000.  Why quibble?

Because it's not true.

He's hit 2 homeruns in the past 165 at bats. By the All-Star break at his current pace he is going to give $1,000 from a guy that is making $20 million.

I guess something is better than nothing, but c'mon. This is pretty weak. I never understood the athletes who donate $X for every hit...slam dunk...serving ace...touchdown, etc. Just seems to trivialize a sad situation. Just donate a set amount like Durant. As far as Kemp, he comes off looking silly and cheap. Reminds me of Serena Williams a few years ago. After a similar tragedy, she offered to donate $600 for every ace she hit during the US Open.

Chicos, any word on the missing child?
Have some patience, FFS.
