FWIW, Germantown beat Dominican 88-53 last month.
Germantown is the undefeated D1 defending champ WFB Dominican is D4---they should beat them. Not sure what you are saying.

Just watched the video of Duane Wilson again and noticed that he dunks mostly with his left hand.  Is he left handed?

I think the point was just that Germantown is a good team and not the "Little Sister's of the Poor", so for Wilson to look good against them says more than against inferior competition.

No, he's amphibious.

He shoots his jumper right-handed.

The real question I have about Duane, can he pass to the post or is a shot first point guard, or I have been told he really is a 2 guard, I have not seen him play so can he step in and
play the point next year or his he going to struggle?

He feeds Stone a lot in the post. Problem is Stone has a tough time staying on the floor because of fouls.

Dominican doesn't have much beyond those two, so Duane has to do a lot. He's got a good handle, elite athleticism, and a nice jumper. I think he'll be fine playing point.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Was told that Wilson right leg is much stronger than his left, therefore he gets a lot more explosion going up with his left hand.  I have seen him play 3 times and his ability to finish with his left (both dunks and layups) is incredible.  In those same 3 games I saw him pass to Stone in the post once.  The rest of the team is pretty bad, so he does a lot by himself. I see him as a combo guard, not a pass first 1 at all.

Will be a really good player if Buzz can keep him in the team concept.

Butch, thanks for the info, good report.  Surprising that no one yet as abused you for saying something nice about an MU player!

Wilson is a playmaker, whether it is knocking down an outside shot, finishing at the rim, or creating for his teammates.  He's not your pure point guard like a Rajon Rondo is who looks to get his teammates involved first, but he's also not some black hole or somebody who refuses to give the ball up.  He'll do what's best for his team.  This year Dominican is not very good besides for him and Stone (who is overrated...but it's hard to be anything but that when you're a top 2 player in the country, where else can you go but down?  I would still love to have him, though), so what's best for his team is for him to score a lot.  He will still get them quite a few (flashy) assists, though.  My guess is if he plays the point at Marquette he will have some games where he gets 20 points and 1 assist and other games where he gets 8 points and 8 assists.  He'll take what the defense gives him.

As a whole, what he is is a stud.  I will be beyond pleasantly shocked if JJJ is the better basketball player, and that has nothing to do with me doubting JJJ's abilities but rather I couldn't be more excited about Duane's abilities.  I think he'll be REAL special.  The best player in the best recruiting class in 30 years for Marquette, in my opinion.

Stone will be fine.   A couple of overmatched opponents, however.

1:12 of the second video.  It was 24 - 3 at one point.  So sad.
