"The notion that the A-10 might invite the seven departing Big East schools to join their league was partly good PR — shows the league being progressive — but mostly comedy. There was no way Georgetown & Co. to go through all of these machinations and legal issues to surrender all their newfound power.

There was no way they were going to run away from playing Tulane and run head-long into playing Fordham. Not ever."

"A recent ESPN.com report suggested that McGlade and the A-10 would go after the seven schools -- Villanova, Georgetown, Marquette, St. John's, Providence, Seton Hall and DePaul -- in an effort to expand to 21 teams.

Let's be serious. This is a dog-eat-dog world -- and last I checked, the terriers aren't taking down the German Shepherds."

Don't let UDPride see this  :D

Seriously, though, the simple truth is that even in down years our basketball programs are better than that. Per Pomeroy, the worst teams in the C7 are 85 DePaul, 91 St. John's, and 93 Villanova. The A-10 has 6 schools worse than that. The C7 are looking to build a league with schools of their caliber, not join a conference where you are basically locked into between 4-6 RPI drag games every year.

I feel like this a good move for the C7 to go the A10. This conference is focused on Basketball and it will provide stability heading into the future. I also feel the addition of the C7 to the A10 will make the conference quickly become a basketball powerhouse conference in the near future because a new standard will be set by the C7.

Umm... we're *not* going to the A10.  It even says as such in the original post.

Relax. Respect the Process.

The idea of going to the A-10 is about as stupid as stupid ideas come. You sir are failing at teh Internets.

That's offensive.

What a bad example.  Pit Bulls are terriers.  Just to go completely off topic.
