to A&M?

Tom Penders is sayin' that a Big 12 school paid 6 figures to a handler to deliver a basketball recruit during his coaching tenure of 6 years at UH. Said recruit spent only 1 season at this Big 12 school before boltin' for the NBA where he was a second round draft pick.
Only 3 players fit all the aforementioned criteria. They are Tiny Gallon, Billy Walker, and Jordan. The inference is the player is DeAndre. That directly implicates Buzz since he was on Gillespie's staff at the time, aina?

Yikes, that directly implicates Buzz, aina?

The player he's talking about is most likely Tiny Gallon.  There were worries about Tiny and his handlers during his recruitment.

In fact OU was penalized by the NCAA for this, eventually costing Capel his job as an assistant admitted knowing about it...a "financial advisor" from Florida gave his mom a "loan" in advance of his commitment.

The My inference is the player is DeAndre.

Fixed it for you.  My Suggestion...  More golf.  Less inferring.

Dr. Blackheart

btw, Buzz left A&M in 2006 to go to New Orleans. DeAndre played in 2007-08 for Turgeon, and BCG was at Kentucky. Back to golf

Also, Sparty fans were sure that Buzz was paying for Branden Dawson, that his handlers had their hands out.   This chatter ceased when he committed to MSU.

4ever's been leaning more bucky in his posts the last year.   Worrisome, he is getting old though.

Correct, the Branden Dawson recruitment according to MSU insiders was crooked and they wanted money for his services, per the MSU people... at least when Marquette was leading.. then, when he commits to MSU no mention of the alleged handlers wanting money.   Funny how that works.  They couldn't believe that he was very interested in Marquette, had to be something and they started to make stuff up.

Anyway, this thread has at least revealed 4ever as a Troll.  An erected Troll, which is even worse, I guess.

Don't your patients get mad when you keep poking them in the ear?

got to defend 4ever's speculation as just that..., you know how hard (oops) it is to think clearly when you 'stand erected'.

It's really not an issue for 4never unless he's standing VERY close to the patient.

Either that, or MSU was willing to pay that game while Marquette was not. Izzo may decry all the cheating, but his rep has started to sound like he's talking out two sides of his mouth, condemning cheating publicly while handing out cash to recruits privately.

Not too long ago, Bors and Bernstein on WSCR in Chicago were talking about dirty recruiting. An anonymous HS coach called up and started talking about the process and how much money he saw, how some coaches conducted business, basically laying out how dirty Chicago basketball recruiting was. This must have been around April, because I remember it was after Smart turned down the Illinois job. Anyway, the guy is mid-sentence about dirty coaches and clearly dropped Izzo's name. They tried to cut him off and dropped his call as soon as he named a name, but there was no doubt he implicated Izzo as one of the dirtiest guys recruiting Chicago.

I have no idea how true it was, and the anonymous coach could have just been blowing smoke, but there was a lot of smoke around the Dawson recruitment, most of it coming from people associated with East Lansing. I find it hard to believe there wasn't some fire under all that.

Using anything from Bors and Bernstein is like citing Bleacher Report as a source.
