Heck of a game - Ohio/UNC

Warrior_2002

Unreal!!!! Can you imagine if that half court shot went in for the first buzzer beater of the tourney.  OT seems to spell "doomed" for Ohio.

5 minutes is WAY too long for OT. It takes all the momentum...and it allows for far too many terrible shots from DJ Cooper. Hey DJ! You have a couple teammates who are a combined 10-16 from 3. Pass the ball!

First OT of NCAAs.

Just goes to show you when stars are off, what can happen. Barnes is 3 for 16.

That Offutt missed free throw could have won it.

Look for NC to destroy them in OT.  Ohio seems dejected now.

nyg

maybe spoke too soon, but that Cooper kid is 3 for 20.  Wow.....

UNC without Marshall at PG is a hugely different team.

Add to that the #2 and #3 PGs are out for the year.....playing with a starting freshman PG who was #4 on the depth chart when the season started and was considered the "safety"player added for depth....

Henson has a bad wrist and Barnes is playing on a badly sprained ankle.

UNC is going to be lucky to survive with Ohio U shooting the lights out on tres.

Walter Offutt is good. crazy story there - started at Ohio St, played as a freshman and sophomore before transferring to Wright St. Then ends up at Ohio.

Cooper killed Ohio tonight - 3/20 from the floor, taking contested 3s at the end of regulation and OT.

UNC is gonna have to figure it out quickly because they're totally different without Marshall.

He killed them with the awful drive and wild shot with under a minute to go (and leading by 1). He got hit in the face, milked the injury, loafed back and left the D scrambling allowing Bullock to hit an open 3. Cooper has to drive Groce nuts.

I think that was answered by the reaction of the coaching staff.  Jumping up and down, yelling.  At first I thought they were upset with a no call.  On the replay, it seemed like Groce was so close to Cooper on the court yelling at him to get down court that he was going to push him down there.  That sequence could have been the game for Ohio.

And even then he dogged it.  I see that all the time and it really bugs me:
A guy makes a stupid play (ok, ill-advised) get's embarrassed, and "bumped" or nudged, or poked, and then gets all dramatic with the reaction to the "injury" as if to divert the attention from the fact that he just got embarrassed, while play continues without him.

Get off your @$$ and go help your team!
