If we are talking about three point shooters for next year, why has no one mentioned Jake Thomas.

EDIT:  Turns out people have mentioned him.  But I'll mention him again
He is a beastly 3 point shooter. His 40 point performance last year was insane. I just hope he can have an impact on the team next year. His defense will be the only thing that holds him back.

Here's how this is going to go:

Me:  His 3 point shooting is good, but hardly out of this world.  He has a worse career percentage than Mo Acker for instance.

Scoop:  That's cause he was the focal point of the offense at USD.  He'll just be a role player at MU.

Me:  Yeah, but have you seen his stats against BCS level schools last year?  26.9% from three.

The "legend" of Jake Thomas way exceeds the reality.

I think you make a good point, but what is your "reality"?

I think he can be a 10min per game player who shoots 35%+ from 3pt. range.

As a senior, he might be a 15min. per game player.

I don't think he'll ever avg. double figures in points.

That is my reality.

LON

He'll always be 100% traditional.

That way exceeds what I think he will do.  IMO he will be less than 5 mpg in BE game and will play very little when it matters.  He was recruited to South Dakota for a reason...he was a walk on here for a reason...

He was good enough to be the focal point of the offense at USD.  He only has to be a role player at MU.

He was actually the third option for 2 years (3rd in PPG and 3rd in FGA).

Yet another Jake Thomas myth exposed.

I see your point. I don't really know where the minutes are going to come from, but I think next years team is going to struggle in the 1/2 court offense, and JT could help with that.

The over/under is 6min. in Big East play. I'm taking the over.
