Give me OSU all day. Davante and Jae can get Sulinger in foul trouble. Buford is actually the one who scares me. If hes on, that is when they are tough to beat.

Id be fine with a crack at them in a sweet 16 game.

I would rather not touch OSU.  Sulinger could also get Jae into foul trouble.  And you are assuming that we actually get Davante back in time to get back into shape.  When OSU is on, I think they are the best team out there.  Remember, they completely dismantled Duke.

Completely dismantled Duke at home, where they usually never lose.

Lost at Illinois.

I am seeing a different Jae as of late.  One that realizes a foul is more valuable to keep than giving up a basket.  His defense has been good, but limiting the slapping at the ball or overly aggressive foul that he would get earlier in the season.  Looks to me like the staff has worked with him and he get's it.  Similar to what I saw with Lazar in Buzz' first year.

I'd hate that draw...FSU has similar length to LSU, and a lot of guys that could give us a lot of trouble. They play great defense and wouldn't be put off by our speed...that'd be a brutal second round.

Not sure if you and I are looking at the same thing. I see first game vs. Belmont, second vs. New Mexico-Washington, Sweet 16 likely vs. Ohio State and regional title game likely vs. Missou.

I don't want to face Florida State, either, but I don't see them here.

Couldn't MU not be set-up to play Washington in the 2nd Round because it would be a re-match of a regular season game? I believe that's a rule similar to how conference teams can't play until the Sweet 16 (unless a conference is so dominant that they get 11 bids and the selection committee wants to weed them out).

It changed.  Now FSU is the 2nd round match up.

I thought that is a "preference" and not a hard and fast rule.

After doing 30 seconds of research, apparently the conference match-ups used to be a rule but is no longer. Not sure about the re-match though.

From our friends at Wikipedia:
Teams are spread out according to conference. The first three teams selected from each conference must be placed in different regions. When a conference has more than three teams in the tournament, the committee tries to seed the teams so that they cannot meet until the regional final. Before 2006, this was an absolute rule. However, in the summer of 2005, the NCAA changed its rules to allow intraconference matchups as early as the second round of the tournament, assuming all measures to keep the teams apart until the regional finals have been exhausted.

Obviously they didn't exhaust all measures last year but clearly I missed the meeting where it was no longer a rule.  ;)

You sure?  I have Florida State as a 4 seed in Portland in Lunardi's bracket on my computer.

I think you and Brewcity are looking at the February 13th link. I am seeing Belmont, winner of New Mexico/Washington and OSU as the 2 seed.

Yep.  My bad.  After I read the post, I clicked on the first link in this thread.  Previously, I had clicked on the 2nd link.  Didn't realize my error until your comment.  Thanks for the correction!
