How deep can Marquette go in the tourney?

Jason King  (3:12 PM)

It all depends on match ups, but if they catch a couple of breaks (i.e. if they avoid UNC and Kentucky) there's no reason this team can't make the Final Four.

He also mentions later in that chat he says that about pretty much every team because of teams like VCU and Butler.

If Butler proved anything the last two years, most of the teams that make the NCAA tournament have a shot at the Final Four (technically they all do).  It's a matter of degree.

Avoiding Kentucky?  We have a strong history against Kentucky in the NCAAs and they've already shown they can be beat this year by lesser talent \ coaching.

I agree that Butler as proven FF is reachable for any team in NCAA. I think that this team, while plenty of warts, is very capable of a deep run. When we are good we are very good...unfortunately too many bad times for my liking.

My personal favorite?  1994 - round 2 of the NCAAs.  Mr. Warriorchick wore a path in our carpet nervously pacing in front of the TV during that game.
Have some patience, FFS.

He said avoid those two teams because their length would DESTROY us. Did you see UNC last year?
