Made the trip from Erie and went to both games.
1. Pitt game: Was stunned to see Vander buried on the bench in the second half. Even when Mayo picked up his fourth foul Buzz never even looked at Vander for long stretches. No rotation whatsoever, which I thought was very unlike Buzz. Mayo picks up his points quietly, is a better defender than advertised and should be a special player at MU before he's done. Still, no one on MU could stop Gibbs. Thank God that last rebound came to Devante or I'm sure Gibbs would have buried a 3 to tie it.
2,. L'ville game: Visions of Vandy were evident when we fell behind 18-2. Incredibly inept start at both ends. Vander bounced back from his benching and had a nice jumper and a few nice assists in second half. Gardnert was unbelievable. Playing stretches of 20 seconds, he scored every time he touched the ball. I would wager he scored eight points in less than a minute of actual playing time in one second-half stretch. At defensive end, Jamil and Jae were pretty good getting to the boards; they had top be, since I don't think DG played more than three minutes of D in second half. Very nice comeback against a hated rival.

Very nice weekend. I Tebowed in front of where the Lanche was, saw Murffeus take the court when Mu homored its past players Saturday, and had dinner with 10 MU alumni Saturday night. Always hate to leave MKE.

I'd hate to leave too, if I was headin' back to Erie.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.
