Saunders started with it last night and it continued throughout the game.  Can't wait for it to end.

Since when was Hayward a "mid-major" recruit?  Thought he made at least one top 100 list coming out of ND prep.  Also, Butler originally committed to Mississippi St., then picked up a late offer from Kentucky coming out of JUCO.

And I'm not exactly sure why anyone would be offended by the "toughness" label.  I like that our team plays with an edge.  We're definitely stacked with talent, but everyone goes all out and no one plays like a prima donna.  That's what I take toughness to mean.  I don't think it's a slight in the least.

I agree with Goodmand on this one...it seems media and game announcers almost refuse to refer to us as a talented team but instead just say our "toughness" won us the game. This is almost similar to Tebow situation in that everyone refuses to call a good QB but rather just say "he's a winner".

It's always good to have a chip on your shoulder, even if it's a chip over everyone calling you "tough" :P

A team being called "tough" is like a girl being told she has a pretty face. It sounds like a compliment but the implication is that there are other faults. By constantly referencing a team's toughness, it makes it sound like there's a lack of talent.

Well, now they know we have a pretty face and were stacked too or should I say they know were tough and talented.
