Student tickets sold out?
« on: September 28, 2011, 07:34:46 PM »
As some of you may know, student tickets went on sale today for the upcoming season. Unfortunately, I had a busy day of classes and exams and hadn't gotten a chance buy mine. I just attempted to, but I get an error message saying "This plan is currently unavailable."

Does anybody have experience with this website having errors in the past? Please tell me these didn't sellout. I don't think they've sold-out within a month my first two years here..

There's no way. I mean, this team has pretty high expectations, but it isn't like they're preseason top 10.

Servers could be down or they actually could be.  Remember there was a record-size Freshman class.

I can only see the 2010-2011 tickets "available to be purchased". You'd think if they were sold out, this year's plan would still be listed.

That's awesome if they are.

Are the $99 seats sold out?  You may want to go that route.  You can earn some points while doing so.

Wait are they $125 now?

I'd be very surprised.  They have tons of tickets for the students.  Never heard of tickets selling out since the Al era.  Probably a server problem.

I know my brother had that happen and he called the number on the web site and he was able to get tickets online after that. I know a friend of mine who who didn't get tickets a few years ago because they were sold out, but he waited about a week. I'd recommend calling that number on the My Fanatics page tomorrow.

I would be livid, but no way. The server is probably down, let's pray it is.

I wonder if they decreased the size of the student section. I doubt it, but you never know.

Also, does a donation of $30,000 per year make me eligible for the 6th Man Fund?

I believe that's what makes you eligible to donate $50 to join the 6th Man Fund. :D

I got a tweet from @MUAthletics a few weeks ago saying there were only 2 seats left in the upper end-zone... the AD would be wise to expand this price point to 408 & 414 which are rarely sold until a game of significance occurs (and even then are typically the last seats sold).
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I could be wrong but I also looked into buying these seats and they were sold out by the time I checked. I also agree they should expand the price zone. You would think MU would rather have these seats sold every game, opposed to just a few games each year FWIW.

In a return to the original topic, as of 2 hours ago, the student tickets are still not sold out, according to the athletic department Twitter account.

Anyone should call the ticket office if there is a problem.

There was a big run on tickets after it was revealed that we'll be a mid-major after this season.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.
