" I don't like green and gold. That's ugly .... When you got ugly colors like that, you gotta be Nike. .... Baylor has some ugly shoes, too."

Gotta love being a jumpman team! :)

Is it a joke? If not, what an idiot.

We have 17 pages - and counting - of commentary on MU's new uniforms... and none of us has to wear them.

This.

Plus, very few of us are teenagers.

There's a reason that being on brand Jordan is a huge deal, and it's not because of the excellent 401(k) program.

My 14-year-old son loves the new uniforms.  It's always
good to remember that we're not really the target audience.

Why is he an idiot? He has to narrow his list down and when there is not much difference between his choices than the little things come into play. There is nothing wrong with that.  A lot of times kids do not say why they ruled a team out and I am sure there are a lot of reasons. The kid is just being honest.

Just because he's being honest or that there's "nothing wrong with it" doesn't make him less of an idiot. Good grief...

I think the middle aged men who require detailed explanations of why 17 year old kids decide to go to one school over the other are much closer to idiots. (Keeping in mind that I count myself among the formers' number)  I remember when looking at schools, how many places "just didnt feel right" or I never had interest in to begin with for reasons unknown.  For these kids, a school you might not have given two $hits for approaches you, maybe offers you, and next thing you know, you owe their fans an explanation of why you didnt go.

MUMac

Is a recruit an idiot if they are interested in a school because of the uniforms?  We have heard that many times in the past.  This is really no different.

I could not call him an idiot.  Superficial, perhaps, but not an idiot.  This would likely be the excuse and not necessarily the reason.

The one comment, though, that does give me pause is the Nike comment.  Is this driven by Nike through his represnetatives?  Possibly not, as Kansas is still involved, but it does make you wonder.

Mr. Nielsen

Maybe this might not be a player a school wants anyways, if he is picking a team on colors.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

I'd take Archie Goodwin at Marquette in a heartbeat. Maybe Buzz should make a push for him...we've got Jumpman and the sweetest uniforms in college ball.

Great post Ska.  You would not believe how big a deal uniforms are to teenagers.  Some of you might be really fond of Penn States FB Uniforms and Kansas BB uniforms.  But more often than not Teenagers prefer Oregons FB and Marquette BB uniforms
