Ken Pomeroy won't be free any longer

I like using kenpom.com when checking out our opponents.  He will be charging $20/season starting next week:

Main point:

So beginning this season, you'll need to pay $20 per year to access the data on the site. What does your subscription get? Well, for starters, you should know that the main ratings page and the blog will still be freely available to the public. However, if you want to drill down into team details or see any of the other information that brings insight to your college hoops experience, you'll need to subscribe. And while the blog will still be on the free side, much of its content will refer to stuff behind the pay wall.

It sucks, but from what he's put together he deserves it.  That site is amazing, and I could never understand why he gave it away for free to begin with.  That's $20 I'll be spending.

Can we see his projections for this year or does that come out next week too? Also is there anyway to see the projections hes made on games in the past just to see how accurate he is (which he is).

Pomeroy is supposed to release his pre-season projections for this season later today (Thursday). Paying portion of site not supposed to kick until the weekend of the 12th. I don't mind paying this at all. Some of the college sites seem to charge pretty outlandish fees. It's hard to justify spending $10 a month for what amounts to little more than an additional message board. But paying less than $2 per month for Pomeroy's stuff? It's well worth the cost.

Agreed.  I'm not sure yet if I'll subscribe, but in general $20/year for Pomeroy's stuff seems reasonable.

I dunno... $1.67 a month is pretty steep.  I'm going to have to pick up a couple shifts at Real Chili for this one.  Maybe build an escrow account into my mortgage.
