In light of the coaching changes taking place at NC State, Arkansas, Oklahoma, etc, I was curious if there was any potential for MU to use our last 2011 scholarship on a transfer or verbal at one of these schools...

Last year we were given strong consideration by CJ Leslie last year...he just had a very nice season at NC State (and probably wouldn't be interested in sitting out a year in light of his successes) but the coach that recruited him is announcing his resignation.

Are there any underclassmen at these schools that Buzz [& Co] were in on who may give some thought to transferring?  Or did any 2011 recuits consider MU prior to selecting one of these schools with new coaching vacancies?  If so, who, and which players would be on our short list?

(Just a topic of conversation / speculation to distract us until Friday evening)

hoping transfers in is the only problem we will be dealing with....

can't even think about the transfers out / de-committs if Buzz leaves...

Enough with the doom and gloom. Buzz's name is out there. Get over it! He's not going anywhere. I really doubt he darts after being given an incredible opportunity to coach at a pretty good Big East school. He's better than that. Not to mention he's got a good thing going here--with a strong basketball tradition and good recruits coming in to bolster this team--and the pressure isn't nearly as high as it is at Oklahoma or Arkansas.

TC had one more year with Wes, DJ, and Jerel. I would say he had a good thing going too.........

A transfer of a quality player would be nice, but many of those players will hold out to see who the next coach will be. Besides, we only have one schollie available, so it should not be given to just anybody, for the sake of landing a guy. If we are still recuiting somebody and have offered, we should work at getting the guy to commit.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

And look where it got him.  He is on thin ice at Indiana.  If he doesn't get at least to 0.500 next year in the B11, I think the Indiana faithful will bid farewell to our former coach.  It is too bad because he actually has a really good recruiting pipeline over the next few years.

I think Buzz realizes that he has a good thing going here.  As long as MU pays him, he will be not look for greener pastures.

I hope Mrs. Williams realizes that Buzz has a good thing going here and puts the fear of God into him if thinks greener pastures lie elsewhere. Then again she should put the fear of God into Mr. Cottingham and the new MU president to do the right thing by her husband.
