Having said all that, the defense has been very good the last three games.  

Sugar - I know you do a lot of analysis on MU - my feeling all along has been that due to the caliber of teams we'd been playing, our defensive numbers were a lot worse than what they'd be for the season.  Playing nationally ranked top 15 teams, and 13 teams ranked in the Top 30 of the country - is going to cause defensive challenges.  These top 15-30 teams are ranked as such due to being elite.

When it is all said and done, MU probably finishes a respectable 50-70 in team defense.  Lastly, I think it is foolish to evaluate Buzz's 1 year at New Orleans as a predictor of his team's defensive abilities.  Furthermore, Buzz's teams don't make many dumb fouls which put teams in the bonus early - so we may give up a higher FG% as a result of not being overly aggressive on D.
