Defense isn't done until possession changes hands, and so far (and particularly against UWGB) our defensive rebounding looks suspect.  It's a problem we've had consistently the last few years due mostly to our lack of size.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

I rarely get into NBA, but it made me wonder the better alternative: get the ball out or try to "play" the block?  The announcers mentioned Bill Walton as THE example of not only block shots, but using the block to his team's advantage.

Those announcers didn't go far back enough.  Russel is said to be the king of gently swatting blocks to team mates who were already switching to a fast break.

If you knock it out the other team gets it 100% of the time.  If you keep it in you'd think it would be close to 50/50.  I don't think it's close what he should do, assuming the player is in a position to do either.

I share your concerns.

Ditto

Said as much at the preseason game I was at.  Way too many 3's that were wide open by Saint John's

avalanche

This year's Warrior team has a lot of work to do on team defense from the two games I went to.  The recovery from help and double teams back to their man has been slow and has allowed open threes.  The new team members must learn Buzz's defense system.  Perimeter defense is a must against teams like Duke
I am sure Buzz will have them prepared.
