Nice to see Porcini's has a restaurant adjacent to the Cardinal's locker room.

Took a close look at the building during the Derby weekend. It's a nice looking building, doesn't quite fit in the city though.

Being a Marquette supporter, I can't help myself but to figure out how this new stadium can benefit the Golden Eagles. Here we go. Based on nothing but my own experience, I feel like newer stadiums are far less daunting to play in on the road. They're typically more spacious, the crowd is not right on top of the floor meaning less noise and an overall less intimidating experience. Additionally, the history is gone and so are the preconceived notions of the difficulty of winning in Freedom Hall. That said, Marquette should stand to benefit from this change.

that's so Slick Rick can have dinner with his female assistants
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I always thought Freedom Hall was a really tough place to play, so hopefully this place will help us out being more spacious without the crowd so close to the court.

If the arena is anything like the design of the new Cards jerseys, then someone's smoking crack in Loserville.

You clearly posted this because you hate Buzz. Crean would never let an opposing school build a new arena on his watch.

Damn, you caught me.

I was in the facility a couple of months ago for work...i will have to find the pictures.

From what I could tell, the fans will be right on top of the court.  And from what I was told the student section will be quite close!

As for the rest of the stadium, the concourse areas seem like they will be nice (a lot still left to do when I was there) and it will be a loud venue.  I am hoping to catch an MU game there in the next few years.

I'm from St. Louis and whenever I drive back from Chicago I see the new arena that SLU has built for their basketball team. This has probably been covered before as I am relatively new to the site, but can anyone let me know why MU decided to build the Al as more of a practice facility instead of blowing it out to a full-fledged on-campus arena for Men's bball? Is that type of project too expensive? were there contractual obligations to the Bradley Center?

Parking for 15K people on campus doesn't exist.
