The night before Crean was at the Falls to attend a JP Tokoto game.  Apparently some in the crowd broke into a "We Are Marquette" chant and he gave them a thumbs up.

What do you think was going through his mind at that point?  Something like "what a mistake I made by going to IU?"

+1  What an awkward feeling that must have been for Crean at the Tokoto game.  My biggest frustration with the guy was how he left the program, and his Big 3 right before their senior seasons.  While I have a small bit of gratitude for what he did at MU, it certainly doesn't make me unhappy to see his struggles at IU.  Heck, we have him to thank for bringing us Buzz Williams.

Probably thinking that he better make nice, and next time he shows up in WI he better be surrounded by body guards.

He's dead to me. For years he extorted MU out of more money and years as he was putting his name out there for other jobs. My feeling is that when he put his name out for II, MU didn't bite and he left us high and dry. He let his players know through the media. I love watching him crash and burn

However, I do like that he gave a guy like Buzz a chance to make him look extra silly

1. I think you need to look up the word "extortion" in the dictionary.

2. Crean blindsided the administration.  They knew nothing about his interest in IU.

If Crean is recruiting Tokoto, then if Buzz ever thought about deferring to Crean in the short term for players from Indiana, then that is out the window.  I considered if Buzz would refrain from recruiting another D James out of Indiana out of respect for Crean giving him a job, but now he does not have to worry about it.  Let's get that 5-star SF out of Indiana in 2011 to replace Jimmy!

Couldn't have said it any better. Now, when will we be able to get a shot against IU? That would be something fun to watch.

I completely agree.I wqould love for MU to put the wood to a Crean coached IU. This game wil lnever happen though because II, II will never have the stones for it. But wouldn't it be fun to watch.
