I hope Butler comes out on the floor Sunday without the arm sleeve and at full strength.. and that there is nothing seriously wrong with his wing.  But not knowing if he's got a significant injury that's being downplayed is unsettling.

Skatastrophy

I'm trying not to worry about it until something more is said.  A number of our guys have used those compression sleeves over the years, and hopefully it's to relieve some cramping he was experiencing or to cover up a penis tattoo he got when he was drunk.

Probably covering up a tattoo of  Maymon "Slashing" to the basket

Do we know for sure that his arm is hurt at all?

Yes.  Buzz said so in an interview with Dodds on the other site.

Thanks for the info.  Did he say when/how it happened and what the prognosis is?

They thought it was broken. Apparently Jimmy refused to go get an X-Ray.

Lennys Tap

Our coaching staff and trainers thought he broke his arm but allowed Jimmy to say "no" to an xray? That seems odd to me.

How/when was he hurt?

4everwarriors

Someone said he was helping a former teammate move out of Humphrey.

Did Coach Leach head straight to Milwaukee after leaving Lubbock?

Does anyone have information other than this bizarre summary?:

- Jimmy's arm is hurt.  Staff suggests he get an x-ray, as they believe the arm may be broken.
- Jimmy declines an x-ray and continues to play.
- Buzz believes the injury is bad enough that Jimmy "is playing with only one arm".
- Buzz indicates Jimmy still has not gotten an x-ray.  Buzz appears OK with not knowing what the injury is and with Butler playing with only one arm.

I really don't get this one and will be watching Jimmy more than the overall game today.  Hopefully he shoots 19 times and pulls down 12 boards.

Past two games:       4/11 for 36%; 5.5 fga, 5 reb / game
First fourteen games: 68/114 60%; 8.1 fga, 6.9 reb / game

Really? You mean the last two games against Georgetown and at Villanova, vs. the first 14? You really want to infer some sort of injury problem based on those two games against 2 top 10 teams?

Hards Alumni

it was when he started wearing the sleeve, and after the 'move'.

I'm aware of that. I am simply suggesting that that modest change in numbers is far, far more likley to be a result of the competition than his arm.

He played well in Villanova I, but his numbers agansy WVU, were about the same as the G'town game (maybe worse). Same goes for UW. I see nothing to indicate injury as a problem. Good opponents are a problem.

Arm looked fine.

Disagree...I thought many times when he was walking, he was favoring it...not letting it move as he walked on/off the court.

However...I trust that if it was a serious problem, he would not be playing.

ChuckyChip

There was a shot during the game today of Jimmy on the bench where he was clearly in holding the arm and looked to be in some discomfort, it not pain - but it didn't seem to hinder him in the game.
