What happened to Central Florida?  That was a Final Four lock.

Don't worry. A quick call from MJ and a freebie 3 Pack of Hanes briefs and JMay is headed to Orlando

FWIW, someone I work with who is friends with one of Maymon's friends said that Jeronne wants to come back to MU, but can't.

No, he was misquoted.  He didn't say UCF, he said UFC.  JMay is fighting tito ortiz* next week.

If true, I would feel bad for him that it never seemed like his decision to leave to begin with.

I just hope he ends up at a school where he never starts. Tenn would be good for that and probalby Kansas St.

All this Maymon talk really bothers me.  I'm amazed at how many people think it should be easy for a kid to just tune out their own parent.

I agree with this.  Especially when your father has such a dominating personality.

When I was Jeronne's age and my dad told me to do something I'd shut my mouth and I'd do it.  Hopefully Jeronne grows into being his own man like many of us did during our college years.  He seemed to have a pretty good head on his shoulders and you can't fault him for listening to his pops.

My dad thought I was nuts for going to MU.  I had 5 brothers and sisters, so he could offer little financial assistance.  Thought I should go state school.  I wanted the MU experience so I did it.  Worked out great.  Dad let me make my own decision.

my father taught me to make my own decisions in life, and was never the dictator that some parents seem to be.

Different strokes for different folks.

Quote from: warthog-driver on January 11, 2010, 12:15:02 PMWhat happened to UCLA? Big Tim was saying Howland was calling incessantly.

It's apparant that "they don't play right" either.

These quotes say it all.

"We're heading out to Kansas State," said Tim Maymon

"We won't know anything until we get back."

"We've been to Tennessee and they're still involved," Tim Maymon said. "But we dropped a visit to Baylor because they don't have a scholarship. They wanted us to come in next summer but we're not doing that."
You say that we like it is a bad thing. I remember there was a QB that played at USC, Marinovich. His father was heavily involved his entire life and he ended up a pro qb, then went onto....oh wait, never mind.

Perhaps that is why you are not in the NBA?

So will Tim be watching them lose all their games?

wyoMUfan

too bad he can't go to a big east team.
His dad could coach and JMAY could star at DePaul

Maybe Tim Maymon played the role of the guy in the Hanes comercials bugging the heck out of Jordan who was driving away.  It's allright to dream big, I guess.

Serious question:  Is he at the D league level?
