They had 11 losses of 8 points or less.  Argh!

Is losing by 5-10 asking too much?  At least then it wouldn't feel like getting kicked in the groin every 3-4 days.

Yeah, it's too bad we...

couldn't make free throws
were unlucky
are very young despite playing one sophomore and no freshmen
were a victim of terrible one-sided officiating

choked again.

Shooting 40% from field and 7 for 24 on 3s will do that.

You are not allowed to say that....or say the word gag....even though the AP on ESPN says the words Marquette "blew it again"

Frustrating to say the least

They are so close but........

It's tough to remember that this is a re-building year.  Unfortunately I can't fast forward this season.

Actually, I guess 13 if you count the BET and NIT.

Groundhog Day.

Did Butler's shooting hand get hit by King?

And the free throws.

BTW, Zar got away with a lot of pushes...

why is Dwight Buycks, who has no touch whatsoever, firing up 14 shots?

Its not fair to call it a rebuilding year when we keep playing Top 10 teams to within two points...us being "down" this year doesn't excuse choking on games we should win.

Who else is going to shoot?  Particularly when our offense was often stalled until nine seconds were left on the shot clock and someone had to try to make a play.  It was a no-win situation, but nice to see someone besides Lazar with some assertiveness.

Take #6 and #8 to the wire and with some breaks, they win.  Just didn't happen and who hear thought we would be that close.

I really don't want to even think of what the team will be like next year without Hayward. 14 rebounds from a 6ft 6in SF.  Yes, there will be plenty of quality guards and Butler will do fine, but Otule will not be the answer for what Hayward has done this year.

Hopefully a combo of Williams, Mboa, Otule, and Fulce can grab those boards.  Jones, Blue, Junior, and Smith can hit the boards better than the guards we have now too.  We will also have a size advantage at point guard for once after 9 years of Diener, James, and Acker, which might be trivial but at least we won't always have the smallest guy on the court.
