McIlvaine is one of the best shotblockers in the HISTORY of basketball.  His natural talent can be taught as his ability was based on perfect positioning.  He is only 37!  Marquette needs to get him involved with Mbao and Otule.

Chili

He still works out with the team from time to time and has been for years.
But I like to throw handfuls...

If I were Buzz,  I would be trying to get as much of Jim's time as possible.

And they could definitely use the extra body now that they don't have Maymon. I think I saw him helping out Racine St. Cat's (his and my high school) my senior year when they won state for the first time in a while. Still, when I met him he talked about his body being fairly worn down, so I don't know how much he could help, but every bit would help.

At 7'1", mobility can be fleeting.  I'm sure he can still play at 37 and with limited wear on his legs.  The thing is,  he doesn't need to play with the guys.  He can just teach.  Jim McIlvaine broke shotblocking records because of his fundamentals.

Would be greeat if Jim could teach our bigs postion, anticipation, vertical leaps etc.  Wish Buzz would reel him in!

I thought they didn't like each other....

That situation was 100% on Buzz.  And I'm sure he would say so.  He was caught up in a moment.  I'm sure that Buzz and Jim have a solid relationship.

It is based on how I perceive their characters as genuinely nice people.  I have heard this about Buzz since he hit the spotlight,  but have not personally met him.  I have met Jim and he is an easy person to work with.  He is a really great guy.
