I have not done the research, but it seems Marquette more often than not loses when playing in nationally televised basketball games.

While Marquette's record might disprove this, I recall having said many times during and after many games that MU "always seems to blow it" when playing in front of the largest TV audiences.

Almost as a rule, Marquette has started slowly on national television and then been forced to dig itself out of a hole.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems that they wilt under bright lights or get stage fright.

Weren't the Xavier & Michigan games on national television?

Perhaps they struggle more on national TV because they are playing higher quality opponents.

Or they are playing road games?  This team is struggeling right now.  Not a big deal.  Everyone should have been prepared.
