I'm conflicted- I should be unhappy a big ten team upset a big east team..., but I love to see ND lose to anyone, and I love to see the 'cats beat most teams, so- is it a bad thing?

with Shurna a sophmore, and Coble back next year- 'cats could be real trouble for the big ten- can this impact recruiting for MU in Chicago?

I'm far from an expert on recruiting, but I would't worry over Northwestern.  Maybe Notre Dame stinking it up helps MU a bit in the Midwest recruiting game??  I'm thinking Notre Dame will be replacing their basketball and football coaches before the next seasons begin.

well they should, but the contract buy out is huge.  on the other hand, Northwestern beat Iowa State (by 2), and Scott Christopherson looked bad.  Hopefully he had a bad game tonight- like to see anyone with MU ties do well.  With the general uptick of the big ten bball especially MN, I think we will feel more competition.  MN and IL have been great resources for us.

Minnesota a great resource? Kinsella, Amoroso, Mbakwe. Not much "there" there if you ask me.

ND sucks.

They are rated each year in the top 25, and then underachieve. Likely the same this year.

Brey should get walking papers along with Weiss.

While we have recruited MINUTE before I think the arrival of Tubby hurts the badgers recruiting more than it does ours.  We source talent across the US where as UW is pretty local.  Now that competition has heated up locally they're starting to find themselves on the outside looking in.
