MU has not landed a highly rated Center recruit in ages and unless one falls in our lap i.e. a Wisconsin kid that happens to hate UW, I don't expect to get one soon.  First, Buzz needs to prove his offense will showcase a big and help him develop to a pro level.  As entertaining as Crean's guard dominated teams have been, if I'm a big-time Center recruit, why would I be interested in MU?  Ther is no recent history of bigs doing anything here.

Buzz needs to show he has a more balanced offense first. Then maybe we start to land 4 star centers.

Still, it would have been nice...

Boone

Desrosiers isn't really a center. He's tissue paper soft and fancies himself more of a perimeter player.

i agree with boone and there was a long string of posts from a few wekks ago to the smae effect.  personally i would rather have a big strong tough kid that will patrol the paint PF in the mold of a Jeff Adrien.

Boone

I'm w/Mr. Hayward on this...just wish we knew who's left that we're in on.

read my posts from amonth ago ....also Myamon is in that mold but at 6'6 i am hoping for somebody more in the 6-8 6'10 mold that is a bruiser.  a true power forward.

wither way we will see i still expect 1-2 jucos in an effort to balance the classes so there are probably a dozen or so jucos buzz is looking at that we are not even aware of.

jucos even if they were all staters in HS like DJO and Buycks tend to get forgotten about unless your school recruited them initially and they get less internet coverage...so my guess is there are a half dozen or so guys lke D. rutledge out there that we are looking at.  only reference Rutledge becuase we recruited him in HS.

We absolutely need a big stud to patrol the paint and rebound, as well as scoring 12 plus per game.

If we do not have a player like that, we will not get to the promised land, let alone competing for the top rung in the BEast.

Anybody that thinks we can with 3 guards and three SF's, is deluding themselves.

We have not had a real stud underneath in ages. Last one was probably Robert Jackson, and we only had him for one year.

We need some big horses who can play underneath.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I agree with the PF, bruiser, not backing down type, but Jeff Adrian was not 6ft8in.  He measured out at the NBA combines at abit over 6ft 5in.

I believe Maymon can fufill some of these roles.

Buzz4Prez

That is why it would be great if Buzz could sneak in and get the kid from NYC Jayvaughn Pinkston. I have heard a lot of comparisons from him to Dejaun Blair.

I saw Maymon play a lot in high school.  And in Wisconsin high school basketball, you can dominate the inside without really working if you are 6'6".  His adjustment to the BE I think is going to be interesting to watch because I think the physical play will take him some time to get used to.  I mean, he's not exactly Dujuan Blair.

MR.HAYWARD

so is that your way of saying "oh i guess you were saying that before desrosiers went else where"?
