I didn't see this posted; Aaron Bowen impressed this past weekend in Atlanta.

GGGG

The description makes him sound like Jerel...but he's 6'5"!

If things stay the way they are and players improve, I can't wait to bring in a prospect and can allow him to grow into the college game his freshmen year.  It seems like the last few years, every time we bring in a good recruit we expect him to start.

Sounds like He has improved his 3pt game and is alot more explosive now he is fully recovered. Cant wait to see him mold into the MU offense sounds like he is going to be a great fit!!! I agree sounds like a Jerel type player lets see if he can contribute right away

I am extremely excited for this kid to get on campus next year.

Rivals also had an article on the tournament and they also mentioned Bowen, although they don't say much about him.

Here is the quote:"Aaron Bowen (2010 Jacksonville Lee Bulls)- The long wing didn't score at the same pace as Poole, but he impressed with his overall skills with the basketball."

mark miller has a glowing article about him from another aau tournment as well, it would appear he is really lighting it up against national competion...remeber about 5 years ago at this time we got a commitment from one Mike Kinsella..   boy have things changed

The Lens

Enjoy it while it lasts Mr. H.  Soon Buzz will go to a Final Four & no longer be able to get top talent.

yeah i know that will really suck...lucky for him he has no Final 4 to drag him down...not having a guy like DWade to boast about helps him too.  Now if we could only move back to the old gym we could recruit again like Oneill did and Cream did his first few years.  IS the C-USa taking applicants?  that would reallyy get the recruits rolling like Tommy had them in those first few years...oh the days.

Surprises

Aaron Bowen (6-5, 180) SG
2010, Jacksonville, Fla./Wolfson, committed to Marquette

Bowen has continued to impress during the spring period of events. He followed up a strong showing at the Real Deal with another outstanding weekend in Atlanta. He is a thin, smooth 2-guard who continues to improve his overall game. Bowen constantly is attacking the rim scoring at a high percentage whether it's going over or around defenders. He has a great first step by his defender and showed he can make the pull-up jumper. He made a couple big 3s throughout the tournament in leading his team to the championship game. In transition, he sprints the lane looking for opportunities at the rim; he is explosive or spotting up outside the arc. He was active on the glass getting his team some second-chance scoring . On the defensive side of the ball, Bowen showed good lateral quickness and was fundamentally sound; his size and length will give him a great advantage against most opponents.
