Interesting -- from MU's official athletics site announcment of the DJO signing, they also list the five other signees. For JM, they list him as a guard/forward:
Jeronne Maymon           G/F   Fr.   6-6

From what I've seen, heard, read, don't see him playing much 2 guard. Mostly a 3 or a 4. The listing seems a bit strange.

Actually, he's a point-forward.

The Buck's had Paul Pressey years ago, who played "point-forward".  Played forward but brought the ball up.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Scottie Pippen also.

Marcus Jackson was a point-center extroadinaire.

I remember Robert Jackson taking the ball out of the backcourt against a half-hearted press.  Funniest thing I've ever seen on a basketball court, but he made it.

Anyone remember Ousmane bringing the ball up his freshman year at the end of a blowout, and literally steamrolling over the first defender he ran into? Most blatant offensive foul ever, and he almost took out a second player too.

You could hear the laugh track throughout the BC.

In the article on Maymon by Rosiak sounds like he expects to play the two spot. Sounds like Williams can play the two also. I think what we have here is a potential team of Hayward, Williams, Maymon, Buyckes and Odom that are completely interchangable. It will be interesting to see if Buzz goes this way and does not use the traditional center and point guard. I suspect we will see this combination on the court at least some of the time. This also does not include Butler and Fulce who can play mutilple postions also. The biggest unknown about Buzz is will he continue his brief history of using basically 7 players or we he migrate towards the Missouri style of play that uses a lot of players and keeps rotating them in an out. I hope he follows the Missouri style.

With the number of Marquette players who can play multiple positions it could be confusing for opposing teams to figure out defensive coverage.  Is ths guy playing forward or guard?

Well, recently for the squad we have had... a 3 or a 4 has been a guard.  ;D

Maybe the press is super coolaid regarding our new recruits.  But if they are close to as good as the press makes them out, I am starting to feel we may be scary good.
