With all of the hoopla about UCONN making the final four, I think the allegations of illegal recruiting have been quieted, however:

Could UCONN be facing the same type of problems that Indiana was in last year?  Or is that just ridiculous since Calhoun is a hall of famer and the NCAA won't do that to a HOF?

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

Throw in the potential links to the booster in question and World Wide Wes. This could be a major tip-of-the-iceberg case here.

what sanctions, IU had zip considering there situation, coach leaving etc.

Imagine they win the title this year...

Sanctions would be the sharp pins to their celebratory balloon.

Doesn't seem to be mattering much to recruits, they just got a commitment from Darius Smith.

Indiana got off very very easy.  They knowingly hired a scumbag coach and got a slap on the wrist.

Yes, but the biggest transgression were phone calls made which the school self reported.  I wouldn't say they got off very very easy.  The punishment should fit the crime IMO.

If you hire a guy with the past Sampson had you should be punished heavily.  Indiana asked for it by hiring Sampson.

I think the UCONN stuff is more serious. It stinks from the word go and Calhoun's excuse that the NCAA manual has too many pages and UCONN can't be expected to know all the rules is BS. I'm surprised it took them this long to catch UCONN. Stoors is a farm town in the middle of nowhere and all of a sudden is able to recruit the best players from all the country? Please.

willie warrior

My guess is that the NCAA will just give Calhoun a tap on the wrist.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I agree, the most that will happen will be a scholarship taken away at most.

and their graduation rate will continue to stink and their players will continue to be criminals.
