CNN says Milwaukee is a great b-ball town

Mar. 31, 2009 9:52 a.m.

CNN, which is about news, not sports, has pulled together the five greatest basketball towns in America. And Milwaukee and Marquette made the list.

Here's what CNN had to say: "Marquette may be a Jesuit university with just over 11,000 students, but it boasts one of the highest attendance rates at basketball games in the country. Students at Marquette don't pitch tents like at Duke, but the games are so popular, some will bring their sleeping bags 10 hours before the game to get the best seat in the house."

The other basketball towns shouldn't surprise most basketball fans. They are: Duke University and the University of North Carolina; the University of Kansas; Indiana University; and Gonzaga.
