Does losing a game to the eventual champion (not that I think Mizzou will win) make your loss any easier?

You know, people always say, "we lost in the second round, but the team that beat us went on to win the whole thing." Is this kind of a cop out? I have always kind of thought so, but I would like to hear everyone's thoughts.

Makes me feel a little better.  If Mizzou gets killed, I feel like we probably would've gotten killed as well had we advanced.

I tend to root for the team that knocked my team out. There's something oddly satisfying about being able to say, "They beat us, but they beat everyone else too."

On the other hand, if it's a close, hard-fought game that my team could/should have won (like vs. Mizzou), it makes it harder because of the "That could have been us" factor.

I am still bitter about the Mizzou game.  The fact that they beat Memphis makes me feel worse not better because I keep thinking about what could have been.  I need to let go and move on!

I am rooting for the Big East, not the Big 12.  So I hope UCONN stomps Mizzou and Kimmie "Sniper" English.

Here in Vegas the UNLV fans were talking about losing to the champs (Kansas) last year and this year they are talking about beating the overall number one NCAA seed (Louisville).  Some fans want Lon Kruger fired - rediculous!

Watching Mizzou dismantle Memphis made the loss to them harder to take.  We had them...!

Realistically, not when the  loss is on the first weekend.

Now, in 2003, if KU had gone on to beat 'cuse that is a different story.
