Rickey's on State

I was asked to do a little research and history on this fine establishment (kind of an inside joke).  According to the Marquette Sports Wiki it was named the worst strip club in America, I don't know if this is necessarily true but if anyone knows when this issue of Maxim was published or any other interesting information about Rickey's I would really appreciate it.

So bad that when I was ordered to go there by my then girlfriend when I was done with my finals senior year, I didn't enjoy it.   Neither did the 1/2 dozen guys I was with.     I was unaware of the ranking, but I can believe it.

Compared to top of the line strip clubs, Art's is pretty bad.  Compared to Rickey's, Art's is the best strip club in America.

My one and only ricky's experience involved me and some buddies walking in, seeing an ~8 month pregnant chick walking around as the cocktail waitress and us leaving.  probably more nasty than east dubuque, which is pretty nasty.

Rawdog, however, had a reserved seat in sniffer's alley at rickys.

Rickey's almost shut down a few years back when a patron pulled a knife and was gunned down by the bouncer.  Shady is putting it nicely.

In 1981 myself and 4 or 5 other prospective MU students spent some time a Rickey's !  I can still picture "Big Red"....  It was a good trip as we all ended up at MU....

Did that trip originate in Peoria?  Was big red wearing a ratty Packer's cut-off?  Some memories will never fade.

OMG - hilarious.  Went there in 1982 as a Freshman with a crew from Schroeder and distinctly remember Big Red along with a few buddies getting tossed for getting too close to the girls.  I lost my dorm room key there and never wanted to go back to try and find it.

When going to Ricky's its important to note that one does not make it rain, the proper etiquette is to make it hail.  Garbage bags full of singles are not required, just a large sack of nickels should do the trick.
