ratiopharm Ulm announced the signing of Dan Fitzgerald (206-F-84, college: Marquette). The 23-year old forward impressed head coach Mike Taylor during the eurobasket Camp in Las Vegas.
After the departure of Florian Moebius (202-F-79) und Bryan Lucas (204-F/C-78, college: N.Texas) Ulm was looking for a new Power Forward who can shoot from downtown. Fitzgerald, who spent his College days at Marquette, looks like a fine choice. During three seasons NCAA Basketball, he made 115 of 284 three point shots. His stats might not look that impressive (just 4.2 points and 2 rebounds due to the lack of playing time in his last season with Marquette), but Ulm is confident that Fitzgerald will suit well and be a fine backup for Jeff Gibbs (188-F-80, college: Otterbein).

I can see him fitting in a European style of basketball, big man with some range on shot, and he will get some playing time, good to see that happening.
