Quote from: wisblue on February 14, 2026, 04:28:59 PMIt seems just as likely that MU will lose some of its own better players as it is that they can bring in studs.

No, it really doesn't.

Quote from: MuggsyB on February 14, 2026, 04:26:38 PMWe need the aforementioned trio back of course, but also need 2 additional major pieces.  It's imperative we find them.  This cannot be reiterated enough.

Yeah right. ::)
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

Quote from: wisblue on February 14, 2026, 04:38:07 PMI guess it depends what is meant by "studs".

Fair. Personally, I don't think they need absolute studs - just some good players.  We look like we might have 2 studs in-house already.

I was more referencing the likelihood of losing James, Parham, and/or Stevens.  I think the chances of even one of those guys leaving are minimal and much less than the chances of us adding good players in the portal.

Marquettes better players have 9 wins.

We can afford to lose players.

I fell asleep on my couch 10 minutes before the game and woke up with 50 seconds left in the second half. Just about lost my mind lol. But it looks like it wasn't much a of a good game so whatever.

And... another game, another loss.

James is a stud and Parham is close to being a stud.  Both had fantastic games today, and have been playing great for weeks.

And our fearless leader had them sitting behind Hamilton and Jones. Think about that for a minute...

There was no combination of starting lineups or rotations that was making this team a tournament team. It seems like Shaka is admitting his mistakes and coming around to the idea of the portal so no sense in worrying about this season and everything negative that happened.

We got a young core to perform as one of the better trios in the league. If the staff takes advantage of that and swings big in the portal, all can be forgotten.
VIOLENCE!

Nigel, Royce and Stevens are not going anywhere.  Zero concern about that.

If Parham keeps playing down low, he is indeed a stud. He belongs down low.
