I had mentioned before that I met his parents at the Maryland game, as they were seated nearby. They were so proud of him and they told me that Michael Lovell talked to them on campus.

I was really hoping that Cam would score at the end of the Georgetown game. It's so easy to immediately sense a connection with a player's family during a brief chat, even though I knew I would never see them again. His father was very quiet, as was his mother, but she especially seemed very pleased that I spoke to and listened to them. Instant blue and gold connection.
