Cudahy Rex

No he's not one of Freeway's buddies. Anyhow, I noticed Coach McDermott at their last practice wore a T shirt with those two words on it. Google being my friend, I learned that Cudahy Rex was the basketball team name of a group of tough, inner-city African Americans who worked at Cudahy Packing and Lard Co in downtown Omaha.

While I admit to being wrong about this game, as far as thinking both teams' best version of offense would be on display, I was correct that our toughness and depth would play a role in the 2nd half. I guess there's a Cudahy toughness factor inside Fiserv, and a bit south of Milwaukee, as well.

I wonder if it's related to the Cudahy meat packing company in southern Wisconsin.

If it is, that would be incredibly ironic.
