Tremendous. They are bringing all the teams into one location. Will be good for everyone in the league . Excellent article on the concept ( also see the image of a newspaper from 1957 in this story. pretty amazing. bb

So they're doing this because a bunch of their members left.  I mean, it's cool in concept but there just is no room for it with the 20 game conference slate.

We already have the double round robin plus a conference championship at the end of the year. I suppose we could play some teams 4 times, but it seems pretty unnecessary.

It would be great if we had enough available games without compromising the 20-game double round Robin plus the key nonconference matchups. Unfortunately, there are only so many slots in the schedule.

That being said, I do think it's kind of a cool thing to do for mid and low major conferences.

This could be an interesting idea in mid-Feb if a conference is looking at an insurmountable amount of covid PPDs to make up.  Kind of requires all teams to be 3 or more games behind tho.
