A soon to be 56 year old journeyman coach with a long but undistinguished record as the head coach at Power 6 programs. 🤦‍♂️

My God I certainly hope Scholl isn't really hot and heavy over this guy. If he is he should update his resume as soon as he makes the hire as it will get met with grimaces, yawns and eye rolls.

DePaul consistently made these veteran mid major hires and now they can't regularly draw 2,000 paying fans. As the Paintouches article pointed out we can make one bad hire and recover from it but not back to back bad hires.

Marquette has a lot to sell with incredible facilities, resources, revenues, fan support and history. I'm sure there is already a lot of interest being expressed in our opening so get someone dynamic and/or with a dynamic upside. No excuses!

TAMU, Knower of Ball

McKay has only been a head coach at a P6 program for 2 years and it was over 20 years ago. I think his resume is more encouraging than any of the guys you compared him to but I agree that he shouldn't be our first choice. I'd put him 5th or 6th on this list. Lower if a guy like Beilein is actually an option.

McKay would be a disappointing hire imo.

NolongerWarriors

McKay is not going to make the fanbase happy.

With Wojo getting 7 years and people getting more annoyed daily, MU cannot afford a "meh" hire.

dad's couch

Remember it was anybody but Wojo so whoever we hire you guys have to be happy.
